Good morning, everyone!
Reflecting on the Chambers Bay Solstice, we have great reason to be proud of all the golf we played and the memories made.
Consider these statistics:
16 |
hours of play |
100 |
golfers in the field |
2,000 |
miles walked |
5,500 |
holes played |
25,000 |
golf shots hit |
40,000 |
$ raised for First Tee |
Perhaps the most impressive number for the day is that last one: $40,000 net raise for First Tee chapters. During a year when many fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed, this contribution is especially significant. After all, young people in our communities need positive, safe development programs more than ever before, and First Tee is providing those at local golf courses as we speak. And thanks to your support, youth from all backgrounds are able to participate regardless of their ability to pay. What makes this even more remarkable is that nearly all of this was raised by YOU through personal fundraising campaigns.
We are proud to announce the top finishers in our three fundraising categories:

Thanks to all those who reached out to their networks and found a way to contribute this year. Whether you raised $1, $100 or $1,000, your efforts are greatly appreciated by each and every family that is able to participate with First Tee when cost would otherwise be a barrier. And as the Program Director here in Seattle, I too am grateful, because we have the pleasure of introducing such a diverse group of amazing kids to the game of golf. And more importantly, we get to help them develop confidence, self-esteem, and a path for their future.
